Blue Cross Blue Shield Update

Effective January 1, 2016, all eligible Active participants, Retirees and their covered dependents enrolled in the BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois (BCBSIL) PPO Network will transition to the BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) PPO Network.

Your network of doctors, specialists, facilities and benefits remain exactly the same as before!

New ID Cards with new contact information are being distributed and should be received before January 1, 2016.

For medical services rendered on or after January 1, 2016, your healthcare provider should submit claims to BCBSAZ.  For claims incurred prior to January 1, 2016, claims should be submitted to BCBSIL within one year from the date of service.  Please be sure to present your new ID card to your healthcare providers after December 31, 2015.
